When Veterinary Emergencies Happen
As the primary care provider for your pet, South Loop Animal Hospital is equipped to handle any emergencies that may arise. All of our doctors have extensive emergency experience, and they (along with our staff) have the knowledge and training to ensure the highest standard of care for your cat or dog.
As an AAHA-accredited practice, we are held to a higher standard than non-accredited practices. We are required to have emergency drugs stocked and ready at all times. We have written protocols in place for handling emergencies, which enables us to be prepared at all times.
While we are open six days a week for your convenience, emergencies can happen after-hours as well. During an after-hours veterinary medical crisis, call the emergency center nearest you for recommendations and instructions (see facility listed below).
